Love Island has dropped a clue suggesting this season’s Geordie boy Brad McClelland could be going home as the 26-year-old is at risk of being dumped from the island.
Amble native Brad, has been incredibly vocal about his love for his homeplace since the show began two weeks ago with the Northumberland lad even driving up Google searches for the tiny town.
Now, Love Island ’s Instagram page has even jumped on the bandwagon by changing its location to ‘Amble’.
On Tuesday evening’s instalment of the ITV2 dating show, Brad gave viewers an insight into his rather quiet life in the small town during his first date with Lucinda.
The handsome reality star insisted that he could never find love in his homeplace because the girls there have all ‘been with’ his friends, and ‘everyone knows everyone’.

Admitting that he’s not keen on shaking up with anyone from his home turf, Brad told love interest Lucinda that she would be surprised by how different his life is in Amble compared to his current situation.
“They don’t drink champagne in Amble, I’ll tell you that much,” Brad quipped.
“A lot of people I know in Amble never get out and they only know Amble.
“For me, I was never going to find someone in Amble because either all my pals have already been there with a girl or I already know who else has been there.”

The islander went on: "The last thing you want do is be walking about with someone, whereas meeting yourself, no-one in Amble will know who you are."
It comes after former Love Island star Amber Gill admitted that she has a ‘secret connection’ to Brad.
The Geordie stunner, who championed the show with Irish rugby player Greg O’Shea in 2019, revealed that Brad only lives ‘ten minutes down the road’, and before his stint on Love Island, he was seeing one of her best friends.

Amber let the connection slip in a now deleted Twitter post and naturally, fans pestered the star for more information.
During a recent interview with Capital FM’s Roman Kemp and Sonny Jay, Amber was quizzed on why she tweeted about Brad.
“I can’t say anything but there’s a connection somewhere,” she revealed.

“He’s obviously from ten minutes down the road, so somebody that I know was speaking to him but they weren’t dating. I’ve been made aware that it wasn’t a dating kind of thing.
“Also, I don’t want to lose my friendship so that’s all I can say on the matter.”
Love Island continues tonight at 9PM on ITV2
