Love Island's Tommy Fury made secret phone call to Kem Cetinay before flying out

Love Island 2019 contestant Tommy Fury made a secret phone call to former winner Kem Cetinay.

Tyson Fury's brother is one of 12 new Islanders heading into the villa this week ahead of the new series.

On today's This Morning, Kem was asked about his connection to the boxer by presenters Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford.

Kem revealed that Tommy somehow managed to get his mobile phone number before going into 'lockdown'.

Four days before he flew out to Spain for the holiday of a lifetime, "nervous" Tommy called Kem to ask for some advice.

Kem explained: "The things is when they go in they go into lockdown. They can’t see what's going on now.

"That day he rang me was his last day. He just wanted some advice."

"I don’t like to give out tips. I said just kind of relax and enjoy it. You can’t do the right or wrong thing."

Tommy, 20, is the baby brother of ring star Tyson Fury , who boasted that his little sibling is going to get all the laydeez.

Last week, Tyson said: "He's a good looking young kid and I think he's going to be a hit with the ladies on it.

"He clearly doesn't look like me because I look like an ogre!"

Tommy is looking to find love in the villa and could be considered a bit of a ladies man.

Speaking ahead of the new series, he said: "I feel like I’ve got a unique personality and Love Island is a good place to showcase it. I’m fun, bubbly, good to get along with and just really easy-going. I won’t be afraid to go and have a splash about in the pool, I’ll mingle with people and find out about everyone because at the end of the day I’ll be living with these people for a long time so it’ll be nice to see if I have a bromance in there, along with a relationship. It’s nice to be a bit standoutish.

"I’m honest, charismatic and charming. My three worst [character traits] are probably that sometimes I’m a bit too confident, sometimes a bit too talkative and then sometimes I’m a bit lazy.

"I’d give myself a solid eight [out of 10]."

*T his Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10.30am
