Love Island's Tommy Fury fears his boxing career is over after embarrassing challenge

The saying goes, every dog has its day, and according to Love Island’s Tommy Fury, that day has passed as far as his boxing career is concerned.

The 20-year-old fears his time in the ring is up after taking part in a rather embarrassing challenge called 'Doggy Style' which saw him dress up as, you guessed it, a pooch.

For the ITV2 show’s latest game, the girls had to be trainers while the boys were - literally - in the dog house and had to run around an obstacle course.

Dressed in a collar, dog ears and nose, Tommy told his girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague that this would mark the end of his sporting career.

Despite being the show’s favourite couple to win, when it comes to challenges, they haven’t exactly ever put in a stellar performance, and Tuesday’s episode was no different.

Molly-Mae summed it up perfectly by saying: "Babe, that was awful.”

He replied: "It's just when you've got a lot of pressure riding on you."

But Molly was having none of it and said he should be used to dealing well with pressure due to his career.

But Tommy hit back: "Let me tell you about boxing, my career's over. You'll never see me in a boxing ring ever again."

Don’t worry, we are certain he was only joking.

The couple have been favourites with the bookmakers to win the reality show since they were reunited after Casa Amor.

Love Island airs tonight from 9pm on ITV2.
