Love Island star Toby Aromolaran has vowed to take things slow with Abigail Rawlings after he decided to couple up with the newcomer in the latest shock recoupling.
After Thursday's episode, in which Toby ditched his partner Chloe Burrows for the bombshell, it looks like the semi pro-footballer is trying to take a different approach to his blossoming new romance.
In scenes that will air in tonight's instalment of the ITV2 romance show, Toby and Abigail opened up about how they were feeling about their situation.
As the new couple cuddle on the sofas, the tattoo artist then asks Toby whether he was 'happy'.
“I’m so happy,” Toby replied, to which Abigail also replied.
However, Toby then tried to refrain from kissing the gorgeous brunette even though he was tempted. He added: "Don’t give me the eyes. You know I want to kiss you. Don’t act all innocent…”
"What’s the worst that could happen?” Abigail teased.
Reflecting upon his blossoming romance with Abigail, Toby also admitted in the Beach Hut that he didn't want to move as fast as he did with Chloe.
“Me and Chloe moved very fast, very quickly, I think it’s better to take it slow. I do care about Chloe and her emotions in this scenario,” he said.
Just days ago, Toby decided to break things off with Chloe Burrows after their romance came under increased pressure. The duo, who had coupled up earlier in the series, had exchanged several arguments as they struggled to see eye to eye.
It seems like tensions came to a head when bombshell Abi walked into the villa and caught his eye.
However, the Love Islanders were left stunned with quite how quickly Toby was able to move on with the newcomer.
While he said at the time it was the "hardest decision", the rest of the islanders did little to hide their annoyance at him - with shocked looks on their faces.
However, Chloe was then handed a lifeline after Hugo delivered an empowering speech in which he took aim at Toby before coupling up with the blonde bombshell.
At the time, he suggested that Chloe did not deserve the way that she had been treated by Toby.
While viewers were stunned by Hugo's speech, it has also caused a rift in the villa. Hugo and Toby are also set to chat about the recent fire pit ordeal in tonight's episode.
