Love Island’s Tasha Ghouri named first ever eBay pre-loved ambassador

Love Island’s Tasha Ghouri has unveiled that she will be eBay’s first ever pre-loved ambassador.

The news comes after the now 24-year-old finished in fourth place in the Love Island villa with her boyfriend, real-estate agent Andrew Le Page.

Ghouri has been praised for her style on the show by fans across Twitter during the series, after having an ASOS model and dancer background and picking stand-out styles.

She took to Instagram to share the news: “A birthday gift to last a lifetime. I am over the moon to announce I am @ebay_uk’s first ever pre-loved ambassador.

“Prior to love island, I’ve always bought secondhand for my wardrobe, so partnering with eBay really is a dream come true. I feel passionately that we can all make little swaps to our wardrobes and our lives for the better and so I’m excited to join eBay on their mission to put secondhand fashion front and centre.”

She added: “Plus I’d like to think that over the last 8 weeks I have shown that pre-loved serves up amazing looks while bringing out my personality!”

The former islander posted the company’s announcement onto her Instagram story on Thursday morning: “eBay UK and Love Islander and style icon, Tasha Ghouri, have today signed the first non-fast fashion brand partnership to come out of the cult TV series, in a continued aim to change the way we shop for clothes...”

The online marketplace has provided Islanders this year with the first ever pre-loved fashion inside the villa, as an exchange for the usual fast fashion brands that are endorsed.

Ghouri has already received praise from peers, including former islander and sustainable fashion editor, Brett Stanliand.

He tweeted: “Great to see the 1st ambassadorship be announced from a non-fast fashion sponsor of Love Island. I said all season Tasha is perfect for this! Hopefully this helps continue the positive work towards shopping second hand & away from fast fashion. Congrats @eBay_UK & @tasha!”
