Love Island's Sophie spotted 'smirking' after discovering Islanders would choose who to dump

Sophie Piper and Connor Durman will be torn apart on tonight's Love Island after they received the fewest votes out of the couples - but some fans were left with raised eyebrows after spotting Sophie's expression after discovering the news.

This evening, the Islanders will have to choose to save either the coffee bean salesman Connor or Medical PA Sophie.

Some fans of the ITV2 will be feeling a bit of deja vu after Lucie Donlan and Joe Garratt were suddenly ripped apart after landing at the bottom of the public votes.

However Sophie's reaction to discovering that her fellow Islanders would be choosing to save either her or Connor was spotted by a few eagle-eyed viewers on Twitter .

One fan tweeted: "The way Sophie’s face changed when she realised only one of them is going home, she knows the islanders are gonna drop Connor in a heart beat #LoveIsland."

"She knows it will be Connor who’s gone," another wrote.

A fan demanded: "I clocked Sophie's smirk. Bin her. #loveisland."

Yet others defended Sophie, with one writing: "I think she is a nervous smirker/smiler. She doesn't mean it maliciously I don't think."

Who will be dumped tonight? And could either of their heads be turned for the new bombshell arrivals?

*Love Island airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2
