Love Island's Sophie Piper set to be first 'confirmed' star for I'm A Celeb 2020

Love Island 's Sophie Piper is rumoured to be the first "confirmed" contestant to join the I’m A Celebrity 2020 line-up.

While a spokesman for ITV has declined to comment, Sophie could be one of the big names rumoured for the star-studded line-up, which is kept top secret until just days before the launch.

The brunette bombshell, 21, hopes to be one of the big stars set to tackle the beasts of the Jungle after an insider told Mirror Online that Sophie "would love to do I'm A Celeb".

The medical PA and model from Essex became a popular character amongst Instagram fans after her Love Island stint.

The telly hopeful is open to more opportunities and is considering taking on more reality TV work, as well as presenting, off the back of her fame.

An insider told us: "Sophie would love to do Strictly, I'm A Celeb and shows like Celebrity Juice - and for now will concentrate on that and modelling rather than presenting."

Previous Love Island contestants who have past been rumoured to appear on the challenging Jungle show include Georgia Steel , Eyal Booker, Olivia Buckland and Alexandra Cane.

It comes as model-turned-reality-star Sophie seems to be eyeing up a career on the telly just like her famous older half-sister Rochelle Humes .

Her big sister, 30, is known for stepping in for Holly Willoughby on This Morning while she co-hosted I'm A Celeb, and was formerly a singer in girlband The Saturdays.

Rochelle and her DJ husband Marvin both present BBC show The Hit List.

Sophie and Rochelle are closer than ever after they were reunited by Love Island's Kem Cetinay.

Ironically Sophie followed Kem's footsteps as she appeared in the Cape Town villa for the winter series of the show.

The sisters had previously met once when they were both children, but it was Kem who brought the pair back together, as well as introducing a third sister to the mix - Lili.

The reunion plan came about at a Christmas party three years ago when Kem revealed he was friends with Lili and decided to help them reunite.

The proposed TV work comes after Sophie made her debut on Love Island in recent weeks, and found a connection with Connor Durman.

The pair had a couple of ups and downs on the show, with Connor getting jealous over Sophie's actions at times.

But he was brutally dumped from the villa when fellow Islanders voted to save Sophie over him.

She stayed on without the Brighton hunk, and although she found it difficult at first, Sophie didn't find love with anyone else - before she was eventually chucked off the show.

The pair were reunited on Aftersun (ITV)

Although they have since reunited for a cinema date, Sophie has insisted the pair have not started dating following her exit.

She said of their situation to Capital XTRA: "No we are not together at all.

"We are just seeing each other! It's a situation-ship. I will get to know him, go on dates with him."
