Love Island's Sherif 'planning to lift lid on villa axe as he gets 24hr security'

Axed Love Island 2019 star Sherif Lanre has reportedly been given 24-hour security protection as he plots his next career move.

The telly hunk, 20, has landed back in Britain following his brief stint in the villa, which ended with him being booted out for breaking the rules.

It's now emerged that ITV bosses have given him round-the-clock protection to keep him safe on his arrival home.

He's also said to be be busy plotting his next career move by hiring a celebrity agent who will help him lift the lid on what happened in the villa.

A source told The Sun Online : "He is desperate for viewers to know what really happened and to stop the speculation - he wants to tell the full story and explain his side of things.

"Sherif just wants to get everything off his chest so that he can move on from the scandal."

"I appreciate you all and hope I provided some good, positive moments during my time on Love island and for anyone wondering I'm all good."

While the exact reason for his exit has yet to be revealed, a TV insider told the Mirror: "Sherif made a silly mistake and was immediately summoned to the Beach Hut - it wasn't a criminal matter and he was spoken to and agreed to leave.

"Sherif knew he had to leave immediately after being called to the Beach Hut.

"No security were involved."

In a statement released earlier this week, Sherif admitted his "poor judgement" led to him leaving the villa.

He said: "In a case of poor judgement, I broke the villa rules and as a result agreed with the producers that it was best for me to leave the villa."
