Sherif Lanre on Love Island 2019 left viewers in hysterics with his potential “phrase of the series”, but it was his age that really got people talking.
After the first coupling, the 20 year old paired up with 21-year-old Amber Gill from Newcastle, before being ditched for Callum Macleod.
He then ended up with 28-year-old pharmacist Anna Vakili, with things set to heat up for the pair very soon.
On the launch of the new series, the islander confessed to cheating on two of his four girlfriends, while he also pulled some hilarious facial expressions.
But it’s when he revealed how old he was that some viewers couldn’t believe what they were hearing.
Sherif is 20 years old, revealing so on the show as he made his arrival.
He’s not the only 20 year old in the villa too with bombshell Tommy Fury the same age.
Bizarrely, some fans were having none of it though, not convinced this was his real age.
Viewers took to Twitter as he appeared on screen, with many confessing they believed he looked older than his age, as others couldn’t believe he’d had four girlfriends at such a young age.
One fan commented: “Sherif is not 20. I refuse to believe this.”
Another agreed: “Sherif cannot be 20 lol,” as a third said: “Sorry.... Sherif is 20?”
This was echoed by another viewer who said: “Why does Sherif look 20 and 45 at the same time like I’m SO confused.”
Meanwhile, others made the same comments about Tommy, with one fan tweeting: “Nah how is Tommy only 20 please?”
