Love Island’s Sherif Lanre has opened up about his relationship with Molly-Mae Hague, and what happened when he was forced to apologise to her.
The show's producers booted him out of the villa within days for kicking the Instagram influencer, 20, in the crotch and for saying he had “c***t punted” her.
And Sherif, also 20, has said that the pair are now on speaking terms, though they don’t speak regularly.
He told Mirror Online: “We've been in touch I wouldn't say I speak to her on the regular, we've spoken about the issue and we’re cool.
“I did say sorry.”
Despite clearing the air with Molly-Mae, Sherif still doesn’t think his exit was justified.
He explained: “There’s no hard feelings toward the producers, they gave me the opportunity.
“In all honesty it wasn’t exactly fair.
“But I don’t hold grudges and life moved forward.”
The internet was in meltdown mode when he was axed, with several sordid rumours cropping up about something going down in the hot tub.
And Sherif now says he wished the rumours were more exciting.
He added: “Obviously at first it was a bit crazy coming out to all the rumours and stuff but it died down.
“I feel like everyone wanted it to be one of the rumours.
“I feel like I've let them down, I’m sorry.”
