Love Island’s Shaughna Phillips has been compared to Kristy Branning in a shocking doppelganger snap after the singleton entered the villa last night.
Shaughna Phillips was among the first five girls on the first episode of the winter series on Love Island this weekend.
The 25-year-old Londoner was among the Islanders who were compared by fans to the show's stars from the past.
Shaughna was compared to a former champion of the show, with one viewer writing: "That Shaughna bird is the spit of Dani Dyer ."
But one fan spotted another dead ringer as the balayage-haired beauty began her quest for love when she paired up with scaffolder Callum Jones from Manchester.
Shaughna, who wants to be an MP, was compared to EastEnders’ Kristy Branning.
A fan took to Twitter to write: “Every time I see Shaughna I’m seeing Kirsty Branning,” alongside a picture of the east end star.
Another asked: "Are LI Shaughna and EastEnder's Kristy Branning related? Could be twins!"
It does as Mirror.co.uk revealed she has the backing of her favourite councillor after quitting the town hall for Love Island.
Lambeth Council deputy leader Claire Holland said the “beautiful, smart and fun” officer brightened up her briefings “however dry the topic”.
But Shaughna said before the show that her looks are not always helpful.
“It might just be my own insecurity that I think people expect me to be dumb,” she said.
“Straight away I’m like: Right, I’m going to show them.
“I think I’m instantly kind of put in a category where people don’t expect me to know what I’m talking about.
"Or I think I just always have to try and prove myself a little bit more.”
