Love Island's Sharon Gaffka found it 'uncomfortable' to watch Faye and Teddy row

Love Island’s explosive Friday night episode was “uncomfortable” viewing for former contestant Sharon Gaffka.

Viewers have complained after Faye Winter let rip at her partner Teddy Soares, after seeing footage of him talking about having a sexual attraction to another contestant.

It came after a previous episode sparked 5,000 complaints, when producers let Faye think Teddy had been cheating on her.

He had kissed another contestant during a game, but had stayed loyal to Faye during his time in the Casa Amor villa.

“It was very uncomfortable to watch,” says Sharon, on the “unleashing” during the episode.

Teddy’s cousin Tania Monteiro called for Faye to be removed from the villa, and said of her outburst: “It was hard to see.”

Last night saw Faye and Teddy call time on their brief relationship.

It came after some viewers of the ITV show accused Faye of “gaslighting” Teddy during a row in which she swore at him and called him stupid.

Producers had arranged a “movie night” where the contestants were shown clips of each other from during the series, many of which shocked their partners.

An ITV spokeswoman said Islanders’ welfare “is always our primary concern”, adding: “We have psychological support on hand at all times who regularly speak to the Islanders in private, especially if someone appears upset.

"Islanders are fully supported by professionals on site and friends in the villa.”

Producers have been in contact with the contestants’ families, too.
