Love Island's Sharon brands Jake 'fake' and predicts heartbreak for Liberty

Love Island romeo Jake is a fake, says ex-contestant Sharon Gaffka.

And the evicted Islander is predicting heartbreak for Mr Cornish’s latest girlfriend, Liberty Poole.

Civil servant Sharon’s warning followed Friday night’s episode when Jake asked Liberty for them to become “official”.

Overwhelmed, Liberty burst into tears and said that she loved him.

And Sharon said: “I think Lib is going to stay loyal, but Jake’s head could be turned. I could be proved wrong and I want to be proved wrong.”

Sharon was dumped from the show last weekend when she failed to find anyone to couple up with.

Asked to give her opinions on the remaining pairs she said it was hard to pick a winner, but Liam Reardon and Millie Court, and Teddy Soares and Faye Winter were frontrunners.

Sharon Gaffka has accused fellow islander Jake Cornish of being 'fake' (ITV)

Sharon, who won Miss International UK in 2018, said: “Millie and Liam are one of the strongest couples. Seeing what I’m seeing now, I think they’ll stay strong.”

She added: “Teddy’s put a lot of effort in, not just with Faye but also her friends.

“They have a strong bond. I think Faye found what she is looking for in Teddy.”

She also hinted new couple Kaz Kamwi and Tyler Cruickshank could be dark horses.

“They’re so new so it’s hard to tell,” Sharon said.

“But I do think Tyler is genuine. Kaz has said to me she wants one guy to walk in the villa and be like, ‘I’m all into you’, and so far Tyler has done that.”

But Toby Aromolaran will get bored of Abigail Rawlings, Sharon feels, and dump her as he did Chloe Burrows and Kaz.

Fans were thrilled on Thursday night when loser-in-love Hugo Hammond saved Chloe from being kicked off.

Sharon said it was “not a surprise to me at all,” adding: “I know Hugo has fancied Chloe pretty much from day one.”

But she reckons what the future holds for Lucinda Stafford and Aaron Francis is “hardest to predict” of all.
