Love Island's Shaq Muhammad 'won't rule out sex in villa' and admits crush on Maya Jama

Love Island's Shaq Muhammad has refused to rule out having sex in the villa ahead of his stint on the new series of the ITV dating show.

Airport security officer Saq, 24, said he's aware his parents will be watching the show – but can't guarantee what will happen once he walks through the villa doors.

When asked if his mum has warned him against having sex on TV, Shaq explained: "I've just beared in mind that my parents are gonna be watching – and the rest of my family.

"I don't know what's gonna happen, I'm just gonna go in there, have fun and see what happens. But I'm definitely going to have in mind that my parents and my family are going to be watching the show."

Shaq also revealed that even if he doesn't do the deed on the show, his parents might raise their eyebrows at other things they see him get up to.

"They're going to be surprised by everything," Shaq confessed. "Because my parents have never seen me flirt with a girl or try to get with a girl.

"I feel like anything I do – whether it's casual conversations and things like that – they're gonna be shocked all together because they never seen it or they don't know that side of me.

"I think they're gonna be really shocked seeing me flirting in general," the airport security officer said.

One person in particular Shaq won't be able to flirt with, however, is the show's new host Maya Jama, who is taking over from Laura Whitmore after she quit the programme at the end of the last series.

When asked if Shaq would step forward for Maya, 28, if she was a contestant on the show, he confessed he has a crush on her.

Through giggles Shaq said: "She's a beautiful woman. Definitely going to have to keep my eyes focussed on the girls in there and not Maya Jama!

"She is stunning," Shaq blushed.

The new villa in South Africa certainly invites plenty of raunchy goings on as it has been kitted out with extra nooks for couples to disappear into.

The show have also boosted the Hideaway – giving it a sexy makeover bound to get pulses going.

Islanders will also have access to a new "playtime" area with sex toys, lubricant and sexy outfits in a bid to boost the couple’s more private time away from other contestants.

They have also added a secluded treehouse to give couples even more space from their fellow contestants.

And for the first time ever, couples will be able to take entire weekends away from the villa, to get to know each other "intimately".

Host Maya said of the new option to head on a weekend away: "It's going to be like a little weekend away – it's lovely."

"It will definitely bring out the romance. You'd feel like you're on a separate holiday."
