Love Island's Sammy Root has 'tactic' rumbled by co-star Ella Thomas after 'convenient' Jess move

Sammy Thomas has been accused by fellow Love Island star of a 'convenient' change in his behaviour towards Jess Harding and Leah Taylor, after Friday night's double dumping.

Sammy and Jess looked to be growing close until Leah made her entrance at the start of last week, as one of two new bombshells, alongside Charlotte Sumner. After initially causing some tension between Ella and her Love Island other half, Tyrique Hyde, Leah started to switch her attention towards Sammy, with him too showing her plenty of interest.

All of the Islanders were summoned to the dreaded fire pit at the end of Friday night's Love Island, with them being informed that the public had been voting for their favourites boys and girls. Sammy landed in the bottom three for the boys, with Leah one of the girls to receive the lowest amount of votes.

In the end, both ended up staying in the villa, after the safe Islanders decided to send Andre and Charlotte home. The repercussions of the dumping are very apparent in Sunday night's episode, with Sammy telling Jess that it "put a lot in perspective" for him and that Leah 'wasn't really competition.

Having seen Sammy put all his focus back onto Jess, Ella is far from convinced by his behaviour and, as some of the Islanders have an impromptu Honest Hour, she tells him: "I think it's convenient that now you're sure about Jess after Leah was vulnerable."

A first look video of the episode was shared by Love Island on Sunday afternoon and, reacting to it, one fan responded: "'Weird how you’re into Jess when you seen Leah was vulnerable' glad she went there." Also backing Ella, a second tweeted: "Ella went off on Sammy with facts and I love to see," with a third commenting: "Ella thanks for calling Sammy out"
