Love Island's Ron and Lana desperate to overcome their biggest relationship challenge

Ron Hall says he is determined to overcome the biggest issue in his relationship with Lana Jenkins as they plot their future together.

The Love Island pair are battling against a big problem - the distance between them.

Ron and Lana came second on this year's winter series and they know there's something special between them.

But the hunk is based in Essex while his girlfriend is living almost 200 miles away in Manchester.

The couple see each other as often as they can - and say they are already thinking about move in together in the future.

Ron, it seems, is more than happy to be the one to pack his bags.

He says people are grilling them all the time - but they're not just going to take the plunge weeks after meeting.

"We get so many questions like 'when are you moving in?' but we've only been together a couple of months, one of her big goals and one of my big goals is to buy a place up there, and down here, have our own bases," he told The Sun.

"Then when we're ready, it could be six months, a year, two years, I don't know, then we'll buy together - I can see myself going up there, I can.

"But right now, we've been out five or six weeks, I think we spend six or seven days apart, everyone sort of grilled me I think for when I said I want to miss her."

After a bumpy ride at the start of the winter 2023 series the pair, both 25, settled down and came second, beaten to the £50,000 prize by Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan.

Yet Ron has claimed their rocky road to a relationship was due to producers keeping them apart in the ITV show.

He became frustrated with the fact it took him and Lana four weeks to officially recouple, having previously coupled up on day one.

According to Ron, the time frame was to do with the "ordering of the re-couplings".

"[For the] first four weeks I was like, 'This is actually p*ssing me off. Can I just get in the couple that I want to be in?'", he candidly told former Gogglebox stars Joe and George on their podcast Not My Bagg.

He claims they were kept apart for hours each day in the villa.

Ron added: "We are very separated from the girls for the majority of the day; lunchtime, two hours, dinner, two hours, getting ready, probably three hours… mornings, an hour.

"There actually aren’t that many hours that you spend with the girls, so you actually have to get on with the boys. We had so many jokes; things that happened in the bedroom, like playing games or whatever.”
