Love Island's Priya enjoys intimate coffee date with Brett after friend-zoning him

Love Island's Priya Golpadas enjoyed a coffee date with co-star Brett Staniland ahead of their reunion with the other Islanders

The medical student chose to couple up with fellow bombshell Brett in the villa, but later brutally friend-zoned him after telling the other girls she'd "got the ick".

Posting a video of her co-star looking dapper with his hair slicked back and wearing a black T-shirt, Priya wrote: "Coffee featuring Love Island's next top model @twinbrett."

Priya spent a week in quarantine with Brett before heading back to the UK.

The trainee medic took to her Instagram page to post a photo of herself standing on the terrace of her quarantine accommodation, which is a bit less flashy than the main villa they were used to.

The photo featured a terracotta terrace where Priya posed in a swimming costume.

She captioned the snap: "And breeeeeatheeee!"

"Totally overwhelmed and HUGELY grateful for all the positive support I’ve received after my little stint on @loveisland Thank you, all of your kind messages definitely don’t go unnoticed."

Priya had arrived in the villa alongside fellow bombshell Aaron Simpson and seemed to be getting close to Matthew MacNabb, who she chose to take on her first dates.

The pair seemed to have a budding romance but PHD student Brett immediately turned Priya's head.

Explaining her decision at the recoupling, Priya said: "I feel like with one of the boys, conversation flows really easily. I’m really comfortable with him and it helps that I could stare into his eyes all day. So the boy I’d like to couple up with is… Brett."

However despite her initial attraction, Priya was dumped alongside Brett just one week before the big final.

It was hardly a shock for fans, as the pair were relative newcomers to the show.

The pair are no doubt looking forward the show's reunion on September 5.

Love Island fans can expect some drama from the show as previous reunions have been pretty explosive as dodgy friendships and even dodgier tan lines are revealed.

It comes after Millie and Liam – who are now officially boyfriend and girlfriend – made history as the first ever villa bombshells to win.

The lovebirds triumphed over fellow finalists Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran, Faye Winter and Teddy Soares and Kaz Kamwi and Tyler Cruickshank.
