Love Island's Paige Thorne in touch with Jacques O'Neill as she breaks silence on Adam Collard split

Love Island star Paige Thorne has finally confirmed her split from Adam Collard. The Welsh paramedic, who hails from Swansea, has broken her silence after quietly removing all traces of the bombshell from her Instagram profile.

Paige and Adam came fifth on Love Island 2022 and appeared to be going from strength to strength. After leaving the villa the pair spent time in Paige's hometown of Swansea and Adam's in Newcastle.

They had also visited London together and enjoyed a trip to Rome for Paige's birthday celebrations. However, rumours the pair had split were rife after Paige wiped her Instagram account clean of any pictures and Adam jetted off to Bali.

It then emerged the pair were on a break after the Geordie was spotted with his arm around a girl in McDonald's, with Adam later confirming at the National Television Awards that they were no longer together. He told reporters on the red carpet: "We're not together. Things happen. But I mean she is a great girl."

Now, Paige has broken her silence and has not held back. During an interview on the Saving Grace podcast, the Swansea-born star opened up about the split for the first time. She said: "I'm single – living my best life. No, I'm joking, it's been a really s**t time."

Discussing the now viral McDonald's video, Paige claimed: "It's not just that video. There are other videos that people don't know about of different people, of the same night, in different locations."

She continued: "At first I was like, nah do you know what? It's just an arm. I get everyone's just a little bit flirty. There's nothing to it. If I'm in the club and a guy puts his arm around me, is it cheating? No.

"And then these other videos came out and I’m just like, ooh. Ooh, I can’t justify this."

Paige said she has no plans to rekindle her romance with the personal trainer. She stated: "Absolutely not. I mean, would you? Would you get back with someone like that? The videos speak for themselves. The ones everyone has seen and the ones only I've seen."

WalesOnline has contacted Adam's representatives for comment.

And while Paige and Adam are no more, the reality television star did give an update on where things stand with Jacques O'Neill. The pair were originally coupled up on Love Island 2022 but hit a bumpy patch during the Casa Amor challenge, Jacques later sensationally quit the series.

"There has been slight contact," she said on the podcast. "No contact of the lips, come on, let's not forget how this boy done me in Casa [Amor].

"Obviously we had a vibe in there. But he done me over. D***head. Fine. But we're just going to see where things go. I am in zero rush to be with any other men in my life because men are trash." For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
