Love Island's Paige Thorne defended by staff members over 'baffling lies'

Paige Thorne had been defended by a member of Love Island staff over “lies” about her that have circulated in the last few days.

After being a day one contestant on the latest series of the ITV dating show, Paige’s time in the Mallorcan villa came to an end on Sunday night, when viewers saw her and Newcastle’s Adam Collard given the boot right before the final.

And in the aftermath of Paige and Adam’s exit, the Welsh paramedic's family have shared messages of support for her, having previously being very vocal in their defence against hurtful messages from trolls.

One of the posts came from Adam’s Instagram, in which he thanked everyone for the kind messages about him and Paige and then another came from a member of th e Love Island team, who said they and others are baffled by the claims made against Paige but bombshell Coco Lodge, who accused Paige of having a “problem,” with her.

Paige’s family disguised the staff members team but shared their message which read: “As an editor for Love Island, I have to say, Paige is one of the nicest and most genuine people and everyone I know on production is completely baffled by the lies that have come out about her.”

Paige and Adam’s last ditch exit means just four couples are left standing for Monday’s Love Island final: Gemma and Luca, Indiyah and Dami, Tasha and Andrew and Ekin-Su and Davide.

As far as bookies are concerned, all bets have been off for a while now, with Ekin-Su the hottest favorites to win since Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham back in 2018.
