Love Island's Paige and Finn aren't buying each other Christmas presents

It's been almost a year since Scots singer Paige Turley met her other half in ITV2's luxury Cape Town villa.

After hooking up with former footballer Finn Tapp, the loved up pair went on to be named the champions of Love Island 2020.

The couple moved in together at the start of lockdown - with Finn camping out with his beloved at her family home in West Lothian.

And they saw out the second English restrictions at the stunning Manchester flat they bought together over the summer.

But despite their new fame and career success, this humble pair have revealed they aren't splashing out on lavish gifts this year - instead opting to save up for holidays.

Chatting with Heat, handsome Finn remarked: "We definitely want to wake up in our own flat together. I think we're going to plan to maybe head up to Scotland to see Paige's family over Christmas Day and Boxing Day, and then see my family after that.

"But obviously dependent on restrictions. We never know what it's going to be in the next few weeks, but that is the plan."

He added: "We're probably not going to do gifts as in objects or things. I think we want to go down the route of putting what we'd spend [on presents] maybe on a holiday to make a few more memories, rather than just having sort of material things for Christmas.

"I think birthdays are a little bit different but with Christmas, I'll hand her over something and she'll hand me over something, so we were just like, 'why don't we put it towards a holiday and that's that.'"

Finn was rumoured earlier this year to be on the verge of popping the question.

And though he would love to get down on one knee in front on Paige, he admitted he hasn't done any "solid planning."

"I'll be going all out when the time comes," Finn shared.

Paige and Finn triumphed in January's series, the first ever winter edition of the smash hit series.

They beat Siannise Fudge and Luke Trotman, who are also going strong and are shacked up together.

And opening up on wedding plans, Paige told the Mirror: "We've actually, in Manchester, we've seen a bride and a groom.

"I think it's so lovely because you're doing it to be married to someone. I've always dreamt of the big wedding. I want all my family there..."
