Love Island star Ovie Soko has dashed fans’ hopes by ruling out a romance between him and close pal Amber Gill.
Ovie confirmed that he and co-star Amber Gill are “100%” not dating.
The pair have a close bond and stirred the rumour pot that they’d got together after they appeared at London’s Winter Wonderland together.
Despite not being coupled up on Love Island, they became very close mates.
During an exclusive chat with Mirror Online at the Mirror's Pride Of Sport Awards, in partnership with TSB, Ovie put the rumours to bed.
The hunky basketball player said: “Amber’s a friend. It’s gonna stay that way. 100%.”
He also addressed his split from ex India Reynolds, who he was paired up with in the villa.
“I’m OK,” he revealed, “Breakups are never easy.
“They’re never easy for anyone. However many billions of us there are in the world, all of us go through breakups.
“I’ve always wished her the best.”
Ovie entered Love Island late in the game, but quickly established himself as a solid fan favourite.
He and India came third on the show, with Amber taking home half of the money for first place alongside then-beau Greg O’Shea.
Amber and Greg became the fastest winning couple to call it quits after the Irish rugby player allegedly texted her to tell her it was over.
