Love Island's Olivia Hawkins finds sweet message from contestant in suitcase after exit

Love Island's Olivia Hawkins has broken her silence following her exit from the winter edition of the dating show. The ring girl and actress was dumped from the villa after she and Maxwell Samuda were voted the least compatible couple by the public.

Following her exit, Olivia made an appearance on Love Island's spin-off show Aftersun where she addressed many parts of her Love Island journey, including calling herself a "hypocrite" for her actions post Casa Amor. Olivia was criticised for calling Kai Fagan out after he recoupled despite doing the same thing herself.

Speaking to presenter Maya Jama in her first interview since leaving the villa, Olivia said: "Let me just say I've watched that clip back and I put my hands up, I'm such a hypocrite. Honestly, I do, that was hypocritical of me.

"In the moment you know it's so intense, emotions are high, there were real feelings there, so when I walked through those doors I was so nervous to come back with you [Maxwell]. I'm just happy that me and Kai have sorted it all out."

Following her appearance on Aftersun, Olivia also returned to Instagram, telling her followers: "Aftersun was so much fun. Thank you all for supporting me and Maxwell on our journey. Here’s to life on the outside."

Olivia also shared a few updates on her Instagram story as she returned home, revealing she'd found a sweet note while unpacking her suitcase. Sharing a make-up pallet, Olivia revealed a message in marker pen that read: "Love you, Lana," with two kisses.

"Found this in my case, miss my bestie," with a teary emoji as she tagged Lana Jenkins. Olivia and Maxwell's exit, alongside Claudia Fogarty and Keanan Brand comes just one week before the 2023 final which airs on Monday, March 13.

Love Island continues on ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
