Love Island's new couplings as one contestant dumped from villa

Love Island saw some new couples and an exit on Sunday night as the two new bombshells Danny Bibby and AJ Bunker chose who to couple up with the first time.

But, of course, it meant that one of the contestants left single had to leave the villa.

Just three weeks since the new series started it means that there have been plenty of shake ups.

Who was dumped from the villa?

Sharon Gaffka, who had been on the show since the start, was dumped from the villa after Danny chose Lucinda Strafford leaving Sharon without a partner.

Despite taking Sharon and Kaz Kamwi on dates earlier in the series, Danny chose Lucinda and with AJ choosing Hugo Hammond, who Sharon was previously in a friendship couple with, Sharon was the fifth Islander to leave the show.

Who are the new couples?

Other newcomer AJ chose Hugo Hammond, saying: I would like to couple up with this boy because, first of all, he is gorgeous. Since coming into the villa, he has made me feel so comfortable."

Hugo, who has previously mostly been in friendship couples, now has a chance at finding love with AJ.

Aaron Francis opted for a friendship couple with Kaz Kamwi, after hinting that he would have chosen Lucinda had Danny not been able to pick first.

Later on in the show he attempted to kiss Lucinda, to annoy Danny, but his attempt failed after Lucinda refused.

Welsh contestant Liam Reardon chose to re-couple with Millie Court and Jake Cornish picked Liberty Poole, the only couple that has stayed together since the start of the series.

Toby Aromolaran re-coupled with Chloe Burrows and Teddy Soares remained with Faye Winter.

The couples are as follows:

Danny and Lucinda

AJ and Hugo

Liam and Millie

Toby and Chloe

Teddy and Faye

Jake and Liberty

Kaz and Aaron
