Love Island's most explosive moments ever as viewers moan this year is too dull

The latest series of Love Island has not gone down well with some viewers.

The ITV dating show was shelved due to Covid last summer and only returned to our screens on June 28 after way too long a pause.

But it is not being as well received as previous series of the show, with some viewers branding it "the most boring series ever" and claiming that that they'd "rather watch paint dry" than tune in.

Some fans have accused the singletons of only being on the show in a bid to find money and fame, and reckon it's all a bit dull.

But if this series is anything like other seasons of the show, it will likely get more exciting as the Islanders approach the final.

Here, we take a look back at some of the most explosive moments from previous seasons...

Terry and Emma have sex

Terry and Emma romped in full view of their castmates (ITV)

Carpenter Terry Walsh and bombshell Emma-Jane Woodhams dropped viewers' jaws when they had sex on top of the duvet in a communal bedroom.

Terry fell for bombshell Emma-Jane, the ex-girlfriend of fellow Islander Tom Powell, after initially falling for Olivia Bowen, neé Buckland, and before coupling up with Malin Andersson.

Emma claimed she thought it was better to get it on with Terry without any covers, as she believed their romp could not be legally be aired on TV (ITV)

Emma and Terry quickly got intimate - stunning fans by romping without shielding themselves from their fellow Islanders, who looked on in amazement.

Afterwards Emma claimed she thought it was better to get it on with Terry without any covers, as she believed their romp could not be legally be aired on TV.

But unfortunately for her it was aired by ITV, leading to the broadcaster being bombarded with complaints by outraged viewers.

Gaslighting outrage

Terry and Rosie romped in the Villa (ITV)

Adam Collard came under fire from viewers after he dumped Rosie Williams for Zara McDermott and appeared to manipulate her into thinking they were never together.

The Geordie was then accused of "gaslighting" by domestic abuse charities including Women's Aid.

Adam and Rosie then had an explosive argument and he was widely-criticised by viewers for smirking throughout it.

Discussing Adam's actions, Katie Ghose, Chief Executive of Women’s Aid, said: "On the latest series of Love Island, there are clear warning signs in Adam’s behaviour."

Adam quickly paired with Zara after her arrival - their romance came after Rosie performed a sexual act on her love interest.

Jon proposes to Hannah

Jon and Hannah's romance ended nine months after they got together (ITV)

In the first series of Love Island, Jon Clark got down on one knee and proposed to glamour model Hannah Elizabeth.

In the heartwarming moment, he read out a poem he wrote for the star, in which he said: "Love is mad, love is crazy, love makes me feel like a daisy. Love is scary, love is cool though. Loving you makes me feel like a rainbow."

Their romance ended nine months after they got together without marriage, with Hannah slamming Jon for his treatment of her through their relationship.

Zara's romp cost her the Miss GB crown

Zara was stripped of her Miss Great Britain title after her romp (ITV)

Zara Holland and hunk Alex Bowen romped after she asked him to go on a date with her.

Alex accepted Zara's invitation into the hideaway, after spending most of the day flirting with his now-wife Olivia Bowen, neé Buckland.

Their steamy romp was captured by night vision cameras and the consequences were tough for Zara.

While Alex was later forgiven by Olivia, Zara was to be stripped of her Miss Great Britain title due to misconduct.

Zara then left the villa and headed home after saying her mother had fallen ill.

Speaking of the romp, she said: "It’s horrible. You know, I was in the moment, I was in the Hideaway. I’d had a few glasses of Champagne, I’m not blaming it on that..."

Kady and Malia's brawl

Kady and Malia rowed over spilt wine (ITV)

Kady McDermott and Malia Arkian shocked viewers in June 2016 after getting into a brawl.

Malia and Kady rowed over the latter's love-interest Scott Thomas.

Malia got to know him on a date after entering the Villa.

Kady then started chatting to Scott by the fire pit at the luxury Majorca mansion.

As they had a chit-chat Kady spilt wine on Malia's leg.

Malia accused her of doing it deliberately, to which Kady fire back: "I swear to God, if you want to get rowdy… that's a f**king joke. Do you honestly think I'd waste my wine over you? It was a f**king accident."

Love Island viewers were not given full access to the scenes.

Afterwards Malia was ejected from the villa just hours after her arrival.

Kady later alleged that she was punched so hard by Malia that she bled.

Kady said on Twitter : "She punched me in the nose after and gave me a nose bleed but they didn’t show it as too graphic."
