Love Island's Millie Court and Liam Reardon crowned winners of 2021 series

Millie Court and Liam Reardon have won Love Island 2021 after a whirlwind final.

Host Laura Whitmore presented live from Majorca during a 95-minute finale, which went through the highlights of the last three months in the villa.

In tense scenes during Monday night's finale, Toby and Chloe and Millie and Liam were in the final two after the public cast their vote.

Both couples had their ups and downs in the villa - but there could only be one winner of Love Island 2021.

Fashion buyer Millie, 24, and Welsh bricklayer Liam, 22, gasped as they were announced the winners, walking away with £50,000.

The pair had to choose whether to split or steal the prize cash from two envelopes from Laura Whitmore, meaning they either keep the money or share it.

Millie chose the £5k,000 and of course decided to split the cash with her boyfriend Liam.

Host Laura Whitmore was live from the villa when she announced Faye and Teddy as third place while Kaz and Tyler came fourth.

It was certainly a whirlwind final, with both Toby and Liam asking their respective partners to make things official and be boyfriend and girlfriend.

And Love Island 2021 has seen months of drama, heartbreak, tears and laughter for millions of viewers watching at home.

We are sure a whole host of new contestants will be back in the villa next year sun-filled summer of entertainment.

There won't be not be a winter version of Love Island, so we'll all have to wait until 2022 to get our next fix.

It comes after a dramatic series full of soaring highs and sinking lows, which has seen it hit with the most Ofcom complaints ever in its six-year run.
