Love Island's Michael answers who he'd choose if he went back into the villa again

Love Island's Michael Griffiths doesn't feel he made he wrong decision in choosing Joanna Chimonides over Amber Gill, as he would do it all again.

The Scouse firefighter was taking part in an Instagram Q&A with fellow islander Yewande Biala, when he revealed that he would still ditch eventual winner Amber, if he had to choose again.

Speaking about the moment when 21-year-old Geordie girl returned from Casa Amor to find that she had been dumped for new girl Joanna, Michael showed no regret in making that choice at the time.

A fan of the ITV2 show had asked: "Now knowing what you know about every single islander, who would you couple up with?"

Michael made no hesitation in saying: "That's a good question, I would still couple up with Joanna."

The 27-year-old was left single after his time in the villa, after he decided to stay in the show when Joanna was dumped, effectively ending their relationship.

They have since been seen enjoying each other's company, including seemingly sharing a kiss at a music festival last weekend.

Joanna has since rubbished reports that they were 'snogging', saying that it was a 'deceptive camera angle' and the moment was snapped 'out of context'.

As the Q&A continued, Michael said that he was still 'good friends' with Amber and that he would definitely be speaking to her when the islanders are reunited at the weekend for a follow-up show for ITV2.

Yewande said about Michael and Amber's relationship: "They're really good friends. Everyone thinks they're not but they're actually really cool."

Michael backed this up by saying: "Of course I am [going to speak to Amber]. Of course, I will speak to her. I'll see her at the reunion and we'll speak then.

"We're really good friends."

Amber overcame the odds to win Love Island with Irish rugby player Greg O'Shea, beating long time favourites Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury, despite only being together for the final two weeks of the show.
