Love Island's Maura secretly necked booze in the villa getting 'completely smashed'

Love Islander Maura Higgins has dished on her boozy antics in the villa - which included downing everyone's wine before it was brought out and replacing it with water.

The brunette beauty explained during a social media Q&A: "I should never tell, but I'm gonna...

"Some nights you get one glass of wine, some nights you get two, you either get a choice of beer or wine, I always choose wine.

"One night I went into the larder where the drinks get prepared and there's like a water dispenser. I went in before everyone else and I downed everyone's wine and I filled it up with water."

Maura added that she got the villa in trouble with producers: "And I got in really big trouble. The whole island got punished the following night because I got really drunk.

"I shouldn't have probably said that. I'll get in big trouble now!"

Maura was paired up with Curtis Pritchard , and came fourth on the show.

She was an instant hit with fans thanks to her quick wit and scathing remarks.

When pal Molly-Mae tripped down the stairs, Maura scoffed: "I can't believe she wasted the wine."

Maura and Curtis' love story was far from smooth - they coupled up fairly late into the game.

Curtis had some fiery drama with air hostess Amy Hart , who packed her bags and left the villa after their relationship fell apart.

Maura admitted a soft spot for the dancer, and they soon became a fan favourite couple.

They lost out in the final to Ovie Soko and India Reynolds , Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague, and overall winners Greg O'Shea and Amber Gill .
