RTE 2FM’s Doireann Garrihy has heaped praise on Love Island’s Maura, saying she’s the “craic”.
The 27-year-old added: “Maura has made the series, hands down.
“Love Island wouldn’t be half the craic without Maura. I love that she takes every situation as it comes and makes her own decision, she doesn’t group up with other girls.
“She just stands her ground and she’s not afraid to say what she thinks.”
Dubliner Doireann is settling into her prime time gig on 2FM’s new breakfast show opposite Eoghan McDermott.
She said: “It’s always a bit daunting in a new workplace, plus national radio station, is always going to be a bit daunting but I think we hit the ground running.”
And season two of The Doireann Project Season 2 launches in the autumn on the RTE player.
She added: “We’ve stepped it up with the next series in terms of production and the characters all merge into each other’s lives.
“Like why would Pippa O’Connor and Daithi O’Se would be in the same room?”
