Maura Higgins and Giovanni Pernice’s romance was recently 'confirmed' by a pal of theirs.
And it sounds like the pair, both 30, have sensational chemistry and are looking ahead to the future after starting out as "some fun" as now "it's getting more serious", according to an insider.
"They're a thing now. At first it was just a couple of dates and some fun but it's getting more serious and they're clearly really into each other," a source told The Sun.
They added that the pair are "really getting on well" and that they hope over summer they can "get to know each other better."
Sharing on the fireworks between the dancer and Irish beauty, the insider added: "They're keeping it a bit quiet as they've both had failed public relationships but it's hotting up really fast."
The Love Island bombshell and Strictly Come Dancing professional sparked speculation that they were an item after they were spotted on a date to watch the Italy v Austria Euros match at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.
After the outing, a source told MailOnline: “It’s early days, but Maura is really enjoying getting to know Giovanni, and the feeling is mutual.
“They're both career-driven and ambitious, which are qualities they find really attractive in each other.”
The blossoming new romance comes after Maura split from Chris Taylor – a 30-year-old fellow 2019 Love Island contestant.
While Maura and Chris both featured in the same series of the hit ITV2 reality romance show, they didn’t embark on a relationship together until the beginning of this year.

However, the whirlwind romance came to an abrupt end at the beginning of May.
Announcing the news online at the time, Maura wrote: “It breaks my heart to even type this, but I wanted to let everyone know that myself and Chris have made the joint decision to end our relationship.”
The stunning star had previously struggled to make a relationship with Love Island partner Curtis Pritchard, 25, work, as their busy careers kept them apart.
Giovanni, meanwhile, has previously dated celebrities including former Coronation Street actress Georgia May Foote, TOWIE's Jess Wright and Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts.
Fans noted that the Italian hunk had ‘liked’ a string of Maura’s Instagram posts – with the pair actively following each other via the social media outlet.
Reports have suggested Maura and Giovanni have been growing closer and spending time together over the past month.
The pair were said to have checked into the same hotel in Cornwall a few weeks ago – while fans speculated they were close to going ‘official’ over the weekend when they were both spotted at the same sporting event together in North London on Saturday.
