Love Island 2019 star Marvin Brooks left Aftersun host Caroline Flack in shock as he appeared to hit out at former co-star Maura Higgins.
He had been paired up with her after Casa Amor, but she quickly decided she didn’t actually fancy him, and instead had feelings for Curtis Pritchard.
She has since told Curtis the way she feels, with the pair currently caught up in a love triangle with new girl Francesca Allen.
Marvin was dumped from the island last week after he wasn’t picked by any of the girls, including Francesca who had shared an interest in him.
Speaking in his first TV interview since the drama, he made an awkward dig at Maura while claiming he didn’t fancy her the entire time.
Blaming Curtis for his departure, he did confess that Maura’s feelings for the dancer were genuine.
As Caroline asked him why he thought he was dumped, he replied: “Curtis.”
When quizzed on why he and Maura didn’t work, he suggested that she was the reason before leaving the audience gasping with a remark.
He commented: “I mean she does change her mind a lot and she fancies anything that moves.”
As the audience gasped, including fellow islander Lucie Donlan, he then added: “Wait… and Curtis moves better than most, so you know.”
It didn’t stop there as he went on: “I didn’t really fancy her in the first place.”
Caroline suggested he was using Maura as a ticket to get into the villa, but he denied this was the case.
Marvin said: “She surprised me really. When we had a chat she blew me out of the water and then we kind of made it work off two conversations. Then we went into the villa and it was literally like hide and seek with her.”
Love Island airs all week at 9pm on ITV2, with Aftersun airing on Sundays at 10pm.
