Love Island's Malin Andersson scared to feel happy despite 'miracle' baby girl

Malin Andersson has admitted she's scared to feel happy despite discovering she's pregnant with her “miracle” baby girl.

The former Love Island star says she still has her “guard up” following the trauma she suffered since leaving the ITV2 show in 2016.

Malin’s beloved mother sadly passed away following a battle with cancer in 2017.

Heartbreak followed 15 months later when her first baby daughter, who she named Consy after her mum, sadly lost her life a month after arriving into the world seven weeks early.

If that wasn’t enough pain to endure, the reality TV star turned motivational speaker then suffered a heart-wrenching miscarriage.

“I’ve got my guard up and I’ve got that protective coat around me in case something was to happen, because that’s all I know,” revealed Malin, in an exclusive interview with OK!

“It doesn’t feel real because of what happened to me and in my own mind I’m blocking it out.

“All I know is for people to die around me, if I’m honest. It’s hard for me to go against that resistance and let my guard down, slowly but surely.”

Malin, 28, has certainly had a tough few years since leaving the villa, but she has worked hard to get her life back on track.

The mum-to-be can’t wait to celebrate the birth of her baby daughter with boyfriend Jared, who prefers to stay out of the celebrity spotlight.

Malin hosted a special gender reveal party in the garden of her Cambridgeshire home, with 80 guests – including the former Love Islander Jess Hayes – in attendance, as well as a host of Disney Princesses to add some welcome glamour to the celebrations.

Having faced so much sadness in recent time, Malin stressed that “it’s important to remain positive and be grateful for what I’ve got” as she looks forward to a bright future.

She added that “nothing could be as bad as what happened to me” and that she is confident “I’ve been through the worst now”.

A plane flew over Malin’s home and blew out pink smoke to confirm the social media influencer was expecting a baby girl.

She admitted that she had a “gut feeling” that her and Jared were going to have a girl because “my family has a really strong feminine energy”.

And Malin even teased that she would like four children “maybe two boys and two girls”.
