Love Island's Lucinda and Aaron dumped in brutal scenes ahead of Casa Amor

Lucinda and Aaron were brutally dumped on Love Island this evening - narrowly missing out on being part of the much-anticipated Casa Amor.

All of the Islanders were stunned this evening after it was announced that the public had been voting for their favourite couple.

As new bombshells, Abi and Tyler were exempt from the vote alongside their partners Toby and Kaz.

Couples saved by the public included Millie and Liam, Liberty and Jake and Chloe and Hugo.

This left couples Faye and Teddy and Lucinda and Aaron, who received the fewest votes from the public.

It's been a tense few days in the villa following the last recoupling, with Hugo lashing out at Toby for publicly dumping Chloe for Abi.

As a result, the pair later furiously clashed as Toby branded Hugo "muggy" for what he had done.

Yet teacher Hugo refused to apologise for what he had said and stood behind his comments.

However, some have since speculated that Hugo could secretly have feelings for Chloe, which was the reason why he was so passionate and may have been feuding with Toby.

Departed islander Georgia Townend said of Hugo following her exit from the villa: “I think we would have been a good match; he was really eloquent, polite.

“I’m not sure why there wasn’t a spark. I think he holds a candle for Lucinda and Chloe…

"I think perhaps unless he’s honest with himself and really goes for that, he’s not going to even explore other options and he just wants to protect his friends and make sure they’re ok, which isn’t a bad thing, it’s just obviously in this instance it’s at my expense."

She went on: “Maybe he doesn’t really know what he’s looking for.”

On what happened with Toby and Chloe, Georgia noted: “ I think Toby should have gone about it in perhaps a different way and kept Chloe abreast of the situation.

“I think it will do Chloe a favour in the long-term as it means she can get someone that’s all about her and has blinkers on for her and doesn’t consider anyone else.”
