Love Island's Luca Bish 'only loyal boy in there' says Olivia Attwood amid fan backlash

Luca Bish may not be popular with ITV2 viewers at the moment but he's got a fan in form of former Love Island star Olivia Attwood.

The series three alumnus, 31, has described the Brighton-based fishmonger as "very sweet" and thinks of him as the "only loyal boy" in the famous villa at the moment.

The Getting Filthy Rich presenter - who is currently planning her wedding with fiancé Bradley Dack - dismissed suggestions Luca is only interested in meeting Gemma Owen 's famous dad, and urged fans to give him a "f***ing break".

Olivia comments from her recent interview - published on Tuesday - come as fans of the reality TV show become increasingly concerned over Luca's behaviour regarding his girlfriend Gemma and her 'flirting' with other men.

Viewers had called on Michael Owen's daughter to dump the fishmonger, 23, as he raged after watching her harmless interaction with another boy in Casa Amor during the show's notorious Movie Night.

The backlash led to Luca's family issuing an apology for his action s on his Instagram page, and remind viewers to be kind when watching the show.

Seemingly speaking prior to the most recent villa updates being aired, Olivia confessed she had a soft spot for Luca and thinks his intentions with Gemma seem genuine.

"I've got to say, there's definitely no standout winner yet - the couples don't seem solid at all," the documentary maker explained when asked by new! magazine how she's finding this year's series.

"I think Luca [Bish] is very sweet, I just hope he doesn't get himself walked all over.

"He seems to be the only loyal boy in there - even though everyone is saying 'Oh, he just wants to meet [Gemma's dad] Michael Owen,' give the lad a f***ing break."

She added: "I'm a big fan of Ekin-Su [Cülcüloğlu] as well, she's got so much sass. And Davide [Sanclimenti] is such a funny boy, I didn't expect him to be!"

Elsewhere in her interview, Olivia looked back on her own stint on the reality TV show and admitted she only ever thinks of her time with Chris Hughes as "fond memories".

She explained how someone recently told her all she did was 'scream and shout' during her time in the villa in 2017, but that wasn't the case.

"Producers only ever showed my interesting bits and my arguments," Olivia explained.

"Yes, me and Chris [Hughes] were at loggerheads but I don't look back on my time with him with anything other than fond memories."

Chris and Olivia came third on the 2017 series of Love Island, finishing behind Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt and winners Amber Davies and Kem Cetinay.

The pair continued to date on the outside world - even starring in their own spin-off series - but called it quits on their relationship the following year.

Olivia is currently engaged to Blackburn Rovers footballer Bradley Dack.
