Love Island star Lillie Haynes has admitted she "messed up" by cracking on with Liam Reardon and should have got to know Hugo Hammond instead.
The 22-year-old met Liam in Casa Amor with the pair eventually developing a romantic connection, even kissing during their few days together.
News of their relationship later sent shockwaves into the main villa after it was revealed by Lillie during the explosive recoupling.
Scenes broadcast last month showed Liam returning alone from Casa Amor to focus on his relationship with Millie Court, who was heartbroken by his “betrayal.”
After making her dramatic entrance into the villa, Lillie shared further details of Liam's behaviour in the other villa with Millie in private.
And with Liam and Millie having now rekindled their relationship, Lillie has been left regretting her approach - which ultimately saw her dumped from the island.
The fashion buyer's administrator, from Essex, even admitted that she should have gotten to know Hugo Hammond instead.
The admission came after Hugo slid into the DMs of fellow dumped islanders, including Lillie, asking which islander he should have grafted harder with on the show.
He said to Lillie in a message on Instagram : “Oi oi. Which girl should I have tried harder with in the villa?”
In response, she said: “I think we both messed up and picked the wrong people. Should have tag teamed it together.”
Hugo, who was dumped from the island last week with Amy Day, dubbed the potential pair #lilgo and shared a heart eyes emoji.
The 24-year-old also approached pal Aaron Francis who thought he should have “moved madder” with Lucinda Strafford, whilst she said she wished Hugo had got together with Chloe Burrows.
The comments come after Hugo and Amy, who coupled up after meeting in Casa Amor, were shown digging at each on spinoff Aftersun.
Their awkward exchange came after Amy said she was “cracking” now that she was “away” from Hugo, with the savage comment shocking the PE teacher and viewers.
He in turn accused her of using him for a “green card” into the main villa, much to the surprise of the studio audience, including radio presenter Roman Kemp.
Love Island continues on ITV2 tonight at 9pm. Catch-up now through ITV Hub.
