Love Island's Liberty admits she's 'nervous' and fears Jake is going to ditch her

Love Island star Liberty Poole admits she fears Jake Cornish is going to discard her for one of the show's newcomers.

Last night, we saw the girls were out for brunch when they all received a selfie from the boys new arrivals Lucinda and Millie.

That seemed to put the cat amongst the pigeons - and social media was awash with romance suggestions, with Liberty having been now put on red alert.

Fans are already fuming that she headed to the hideaway with 'snake' Jake.

Many are worried she is about to get her heart broken by the hunky 24-year-old water engineer from Weston-super-Mare.

We see the girls head back to the Villa as they prepare to meet the new arrivals for the first time.

Liberty made a confession about Jake in the Beach Hut (ITV)

Speaking in the Beach Hut, Liberty says: “I can’t lie. I did feel nervous. They’re stunning girls. Jake might banter with one of them better.”

The girls all gathered on the bean bags and get to know the new arrivals better.

Rachel asks: “Can I go straight in with an uncomfortable question? Both of you - give your top three.”

But keeping her cards close to her chest, Lucinda says: “I think they’re all good looking.”

Sharon chimed in: “That’s a politician's answer!”

But Lucinda says: “I need to get to know them, really.”

Jake Cornish’s red-faced parents admits they had to get away from her TV while he gyrated with Liberty earlier this week.

Mum Rachel Cornish and husband Mark had been glued to the box as they watched their son hook up with the student.

Jake’s dad Mark, 52, said: “When he was doing a challenge and gyrating with Liberty, Rachel turned her back to that one, which was quite funny.”

He says they would welcome her with open arms if Jake brought her home.

Mark explained: “Liberty seems like a down-to-earth girl to be honest. From what I can see she’s not trying to be anyone, she’s just being herself.

“It’s quite funny when he was cuddling up to her in bed and she had a smile on her face. I think she seems a genuine girl. If he likes her, he will stay with her I think.

“We’d welcome her with open arms, definitely. She seems a lovely girl.”
