Love Island's Laura Whitmore jokes Hugo thinks he's 'on holiday' and needs to graft

Laura Whitmore told Hugo Hammond to get off his sun-lounger - and then reassured the show's fans that the best is yet to come.

The Love Island host put on a Q&A on Instagram and invited followers to throw some questions at her.

She gave some honest responses and even replied to one who says the show desperately needs to be spiced up.

Laura wants PE teacher Hugo to get the ball rolling as some viewers says he needs to wake up.

Sharon Gaffka was dumped from the villa after Sunday night's shock re-coupling, leaving fans reeling as newcomer AJ stole Hugo from her.

One message read: "Do you also shout at the TV when Hugo kept running away from AJ?"

The Irish beauty responded: "Yes I did! Get me back in the villa so I can say to Hugo 'come on, come on show us some graft!'

"He's not just there on a holiday, you know!"

She then replied to a fan who told her the producers need to spice things up a little.

"It is spicy and we're not even half way through," Laura said.

"This happens every year, and once we get past the half way stage every year... I tell you!

"I'll save the extra chilli for then!"

She delighted Love Island fans when she confirmed that Casa Amor will be returning the hit ITV2 dating show “soon”.

Viewers have been clamouring for the hotly-anticipated twist, which sees a new set of contestants try to entice the already coupled-up Islanders in another villa.

“Are you going back over to the villa soon? And when does Casa Amor start?” one follower asked her.

"Oh, I get asked this a lot,” Laura replied.

“First question, yes, second part, soon,” she confirmed. “What else can I tell ya?”

She then went on to share the difficult logistics of trying to film at the Spanish villa, especially after Spain and the Balearic Islands were placed on the U.K.’s amber list, meaning travellers had to isolate upon their return.

“Then it went green, and now it’s amber again! But I’m double vaxxed,” Laura explained.

“Logistically, it’s tougher. When I went out for the coupling up, Balearic Islands were in amber, so when I did that, I had to isolate for five days on my return."

Love Island returns to TV tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
