Love Island's Laura Whitmore explains why she doesn't have to isolate after villa trip

Laura Whitmore has shared why she doesn't need to isolate between the Love Island villa in Majorca and back home in the UK.

The presenter, 36, is an incredibly busy woman at the moment - with her work schedule seeing her jet out to Spain to host segments of the show, before flying back home to London to host its spin-off show Aftersun.

Her schedule is so hectic that it's led to fans questioning how she manages to fly back and forth without having to quarantine.

Over on Twitter, someone recently asked: "Why does laura whitmore not have to quarantine in between after sun and being in the villa but the dumped islanders do? confused."

"How does it work for Laura Whitmore.. like going to the villa and then doing after sun like is there no quarantine?" a second quizzed.

But Laura set the record straight, as she revealed the quarantine rules only apply to those who haven't had both their vaccinations, with the presenter telling fans she is actually double-jabbed.

She said in a recent Instagram Q&A: "The Balearic Islands were in amber so when I did [go there] I had to isolate for five days, I'm not sure everyone knew that. I had to isolate five days on my return.

"Then [rules] went green, and now it's amber again, but I'm double-vaxxed.

"I also have to be in London every Sunday as part of my Love Island contract. I need to host Love Island: Aftersun, which I love. It's just so much fun, I love live telly."

"But that's another logistical nightmare, that we need to make sure that I'm always back in time for that. If I could, I'd probably just move into there, I mean who wouldn't?"

Laura has not long given birth to a daughter with husband and Love Island voiceover Iain Stirling.

The exact date of the birth is unknown, but the couple were first spotted with their little one in March.

Just four months after welcoming their baby girl, Laura was straight back to her hectic Love Island schedule as she returned to hosting duties in July.

But the Irish presenter seems to be enjoying every minute of it, so flying between countries for work appears to be no problem for her.

*Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
