Love Island's Laura Whitmore appears to confirm baby daughter's name and sweet meaning

Laura Whitmore has appeared to confirm the name of her baby daughter and the sweet meaning behind it.

The 36-year-old Love Island presenter had previously taken aim at a publication for leaking the name earlier in the month but it would seem that a jacket hanging on the back of a door in a photo she posted on Instagram has confirmed the name.

This weekend would have been Glastonbury Festival and Laura was reminiscing of past years ahead of a live stream from Worthy Farm, in which a number of big acts, including Coldplay, will perform from the site.

Fans were quick to spot the name of her daughter with Iain Stirling in letters on the back of a denim jacket that was hanging on the door.

It spelled out the name Stevie Re, which is a nod to Laura's Irish roots as well as one of the couple's favourite musicians.

The Ré part is a lesser used Irish word for moon, which would mean that the baby's name would mean Stevie Moon.

Laura did not acknowledge the name in her post, as she wrote: "A few years ago at Glastonbury I bought the handmade ‘time to dance and play’ sign somewhere in the healing fields en route to Shangri La.

"I ended up wandering around by myself for a few hours, stumbling across different stages and tents. I look at this sign and remind myself of the importance of having fun."

Laura continued: "Life can get stressful. It can feel overwhelming. But it reminds me of the things that bring me joy in my life. So today, do something that brings you joy! Have a great weekend x."

It is believed that the name Stevie is a nod to musician Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac.
