Love Island's Laura Whitmore admits she's been frustrated with Hugo Hammond's lack of action in the villa

Love Island's Laura Whitmore admitted she's been frustrated with Hugo Hammond's lack of action in the villa.

Laura was answering fan questions on her Instagram page when she decided to be brutally honest about the contestants this year.

After Sharon Gaffka left the villa following Sunday night's shock re-coupling as newcomer AJ took over to steal Hugo from her, Hugo didn't seem to be very interested in AJ.

One fan asked Laura: "Do you also shout at the TV when Hugo kept running away from AJ?"

And Laura replied: "Yes I did! Get me back in the villa so I can say to Hugo 'come on, come on show us some graft!'

"He's not just there on a holiday, you know!"

Laura also suggested things would heat up in the villa soon, now that the series was passing the halfway mark.

She said: "It is spicy and we're not even half way through.

"This happens every year, and once we get past the half way stage every year... I tell you!

"I'll save the extra chilli for then!"

Laura revealed that Casa Amor will be returning soon to the show and also spoke about the difficulties of having to quarantine now that Spain and the Balearic Islands are on the amber list.

She said: "Logistically, it’s tougher. When I went out for the coupling up, Balearic Islands were in amber, so when I did that, I had to isolate for five days on my return."
