Love Island's Lana suffers left red-faced after wardrobe blunder during dance

Love Island viewers saw a little more than they bargained for this evening after Lana Jenkins suffered a mortifying wardrobe malfunction during a game on the very first night in the villa.

As the ninth season got underway, viewers have been getting to know this year’s singletons after they made their debut on ITV2 last night.

And as the Islanders got their flirt on, producers lined them up with some games to spur on the conversation and encourage sparks to fly.

Around the firepit, the reality stars were each given small challenges to do in front of each other.

“Give a lap dance to the Islander you fancy the most,” Lana read out from a card.

She walked over to Shaq Muhammad , took his hand and lead him to sit at the edge of the firepit seating curve.

Her fellow Islanders began clapping and cheering her as she bent at the knees and dropped to the floor for her very first move of what was meant to be a seductive dance.

“Ah! I just split my skirt!” Lana could be heard exclaiming while reaching around to preserve her modesty.

The contestants erupted into laughter as Lana spoke to the camera, recalling the mortifying moment.

“Oh, my god,” she said. “My skirt split right open, right down in the middle of my crack.”

Love Island started off the new series with an explosive launch episode – with Maya Jama fronting the new season, which is taking place in a villa in South Africa.

The new series has been teased as the raunchiest yet as a series of saucy additions have been made to the villa.

Islanders will have plenty of nooks and crannies for couples to sneak off to for a bit of alone time and the Hideaway space has received a sexy boost.

Previous series have seen the Hideaway kitted out with a few sexy accessories but the new playtime area is filled with sex toys, lubricant and sexy outfits in a bid to boost the couple’s more private time away from other contestants.

Meanwhile, Islanders will also have the option to head away on a Hideaway Retreat for an entire weekend – giving the blossoming couples a chance to get to know one another more "intimately".

This year's girls are Tanya Manhenga , Lana Jenkins , Anna-May Robey , Tanyel Revan and Olivia Hawkins .

As for the boys, Kai Fagan , Ron Hall , Will Young , Shaq Muhammad and Haris Namani have entered the villa.

Meanwhile, bombshell Tom immediately sparked drama on Tuesday night, leaving one Islander fuming and being told to "chill".

Haris Namani called out the newcomer in front of the rest of the boys , as Tom immediately made a play for the women.

The bombshell learned he would have a big decision to make, as he would be tasked with picking one of the already taken girls - leaving one man single and at risk of being dumped.

Tom's arrival, as voted for by the public, left the boys worried as they realised they could lose their girl.

So when Tom immediately caused drama after his debut, as he decided to speak to the girls before getting to know the boys, one Islander fumed.

Haris was told to "chill" as he got irritated about it before slamming Tom, while he quickly tried to downplay it as a joke.

He told the other boys: "Mate he's having a chat with them birds boys, I'm telling you all them girls."

Ron, stunned by his annoyance, said back: "Mate, don't worry about it. Chill. Don't worry about it, it's fine."

Haris then hit out at Tom, saying: "Nah he should... I'm not worried mate, he should be introducing himself to us init."

As the camera panned over to Tom and the girls at the firepit, he asked them: "What are the lads like?"

Tanyel then quipped: "They probably liked you until you turned around and said you'd speak to the girls first..."

Haris soon shouted out at him: "Tom! You've got 30 seconds, Tom. If you don't come over here mate."

Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX
