Love Island's Kaz Kamwi and Tyler Cruickshank break silence on split

Love Island couple Kaz Kamwi and Tyler Cruickshank have broken their silence to confirm their split.

Four days after the news broke, the couple took to Instagram with a joint statement.

It read: "We are extremely sad to announce that we have decided to end our romantic relationship.

"We have had a fantastic journey and we will always have a special bond between us.

"We will continue to be very much in one another's lives and support each other in every way.

"We are so grateful that we have shared this Love Island experience with each other, and we will continue to support each others careers.

"Life since the villa has been amazing, but it’s taking time to adjust to a new normal in the public eye. This part of the journey hasn’t been easy for us but we’re learning.

"Thank you to every single person who has supported us, we appreciate you more than you will ever know."

The pair appear to have turned comments off on the post.

Last week, a source had claimed the couple had gone their separate ways after trying all they could to make their relationship work outside the villa.

But that sadly, things weren't the same for them after leaving the ITV2 show.

Kaz, 27, and Tyler, 26, met on Love Island earlier this year and won the hearts of the nation.

They were tested and went through rough patches during their time in the vila, but had appeared to come out stronger than ever.

They coupled up with other people during the Casa Amor twist, with Tyler returning to the main villa with Clarisse Juliette to find Kaz sitting by Matthew MacNabb's side.

Their separation didn't last long though, with them soon realising they'd made a mistake and only wanted to be with each other.

They reunited, much to the dismay of the newbies they'd coupled up with, who were soon sent packing.

They ended up coming fourth in the competition, finishing behind Faye Winter and Teddy Soares, Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran and winners Millie Court and Liam Reardon, who are all still together.

During her time in the villa, Kaz grew particularly close to Liberty Poole, who famously walked away from the show after splitting from boyfriend Jake Cornish.
