Love Island's Kaz breaks silence on 'terrifying' Dubai prison after drugs arrest

Love Island star Kaz Crossley told her friends about the 'terrifying' ordeal of being in jail in Dubai.

The reality star was arrested at Abu Dhabi airport while in transit for a flight to Thailand after being flagged up to United Arab Emirates authorities who are reportedly investigating a video of the Love Island star snorting a white substance in 2020.

After cooperating with officials, she reportedly told her pals about being 'locked up with 30 other women'.

"They didn’t get me a lawyer or a proper translator. I couldn’t even have a shower," she was said to have told her friends.

"I was locked up with 30 other women, and had no idea why I was there for days - nobody would help me. It was the most terrifying experience of my life."

According to a source, who spoke to The Sun, Kaz was 'shaken up' and had the 'worst thoughts going through her mind'.

They said she didn't have any drugs and that she was arrested as she was 'associated with someone else police were looking into from a previous trip'.

The Mirror have contacted her reps for comment.

Her representatives confirmed earlier today that Kaz was set to be released from prison after spending four days behind bars.

"Kaz has fully cooperated with officials and is free to continue her journey," the representatives said.

“Kaz was travelling through Abu Dhabi on her way to Thailand, where she was stopped by UAE police and taken in for questioning in relation to a matter that is not directly related to her but officials felt she could assist in their enquiries," they told The Sun.

The TV personality finished third on Love Island in 2018 with Josh Denzel, who she subsequently split from, and is set to feature on Channel 5's The Challenge.

She was on her way to Thailand to take part in voluntary work when the incident occurred.

A source said: "She was looking forward to getting back to Thailand where she has been doing voluntary work and all of a sudden she is languishing in a Dubai jail.

"She had only stopped off in Abu Dhabi to catch a connecting flight but her name has obviously raised a red flag."

The source claimed Kaz was "allowed to send one email and wasn't even allowed to make a phone call".
