Love Island's Kaz and Sharon in tears as they reunite for first time after leaving villa

Love Island best friends Kaz Kamwi and Sharon Gaffka have reunited for the first time since leaving the villa.

The two stunners, who were in the original lineup of the 2021 series broke down in tears as they met for the first time in weeks over FaceTime.

Kaz and Sharon cemented an incredibly close bond while in the villa before Sharon was brutally dumped from the island in week three after her friendship with Hugo failed to turn into a romantic connection.

Now that they are both back to reality, the Love Island babes are still making time for one another and had a long catch up over FaceTime.

Taking to their Instagram stories, both Kaz and Sharon shared screenshots of their emotional video call.

Civil servant Sharon shared a sweet snap of tears streaming down her face as she held her hand over her mouth in excitement as she spoke with Kaz again for the first time.

The wholesome screenshot also showed Kaz beaming with excitement as she covered her mouth with her hand.

Alongside the snap, Sharon gushed about how much she has missed her Love Island bestie.

“Not crying. You are,” she quipped.

"When I tell you that I've missed this face, this energy, this whole being,” Sharon added.

Although Sharon’s time in the villa came to an end during week three, Kaz made it all the way to the final alongside her love interest Tyler.

The pair came in fourth place behind Faye and Teddy, Chloe and Toby, and winners Liam and Millie.

It comes after Sharon was hit with criticism from Love Island fans as she appeared to throw her support behind Toby and Chloe ahead of the grande finale last week.

Sharon was bombarded with abuse after sharing her high hopes for the couple.

She revealed that her choice of screenshot when encouraging fans to vote for their winning couple had proven controversial as it displayed Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran .

Following the abuse, Sharon took to social media to back her opinion.

“As if I am writing this…fans of specific couples have been coming @ me for my screenshot of the @loveisland app encouraging you guys to vote because it had Chloe and Toby in,” she penned.

“Not that I have to explain myself, but I am actually not participating in the vote because they’re all my friends and I want them all to win.”

She continued: “The screenshot is just because they’re the first couple on the app.

“Can we just enjoy the final without the nasty messages and comments?"

Sharon was the fifth islander to be dumped from the island on the 2021 ITV2 series.
