Love Island's Joe Garratt appears to spoil result of vote off with airport snap

Love Island's Joe Garratt sent fans into meltdown as he shared a cryptic snap of him heading back to Mallorca on Thursday.

The sandwich man shared a picture from the airport and revealed his destination to be Palma Airport - where dumped contestants fly back to the UK from.

22-year-old Joe made the journey home himself last week and vowed to wait for his partner Lucie Donlan on the outside after they were torn apart in a shock voting twist.

But fans have been speculating if Joe is heading back to get Lucie with his latest Instagram snap - or if he is heading back into the villa himself.

Lucie is currently paired up with Anton Danyluk as 'friends only' after they've both failed to find love in the villa.

But their time could be up as Caroline Flack makes a return tonight to send two islanders home.

Viewers have been voting to save their favourite couple with the least popular pair at risk of going home.

Since leaving the show Joe has said he spoken to Lucie's family in Newquay following a series of bad headlines.

Joe was accused of being 'controlling' and 'possessive' of Lucie after becoming jealous of her friendship with Tommy Fury.

He has since said he only had Lucie's best interests at heart while his relatives suggested he'd been cruelly edited.

Despite keeping her place on the dating show, Lucie said she would also wait for Joe.

Though the surfer has recently ruffled feathers by saying she wouldn't rule out a romance with Tommy Fury.

When asked by the girls if she'd ever get back with the boxer she coyly replied: "Never say never."
