Love Island's Joanna praises Amber for 'pieing off Michael' in recoupling

Love Island star Joanna Chimonides has praised Amber Gill for rejecting Michael Griffiths in a dramatic recoupling.

Joanna was coupled with Michael until she was voted out of the villa last week, and labelled him a "snake" when he decided to stay without her.

Since then, Joanna has posted a tearful reaction to Michael's decision to tell 21-year-old Geordie girl Amber that he still had feelings for her.

With Amber being wooed by new guy Greg O'Shea, an Irish professional rugby player, she was plunged into a dilemma of whether to follow her head at the recoupling or her heart and see whether Michael's feelings were true.

Joanna has been posting live video reactions on Instagram to the action in the ITV2 dating show and she was full of praise for Amber's choice in the recoupling.

She decided to 'pie off' Michael in favour of Greg and Joanna said she was 'proud' of Amber for making this choice.

Joanna said: "I'm actually really proud of her, not going to lie. That was probably one of the most hardest decisions she's going to have to make and she did so well.

"Good on her."

Michael was left licking his wounds as Francesca Allen was left to couple up with him.

Even she was sticking the boot in, as her speech as to why she wanted to couple up with Michael contained so stinging slights.

She said that she was finding it difficult to find love in the villa, so she was hoping for some tips from Michael who she said 'was experienced at doing this in the villa'.

After connecting romantically with two people in the villa, it would seem that Michael may end up leaving as a singleton, with the public voting for their favourite couples, with the pair getting the lowest amount of votes potentially finding themselves exiting the villa.

*Love Island airs all week at 9pm on ITV2.
