Love Island's Joanna records tearful video after watching Michael admit he does like Amber

Joanna Chimonides has admitted that watching Michael attempted to crack on with former flame Amber Gill on Love Island was “hard to watch”.

Uploading a video to Instagram, Joanna tearfully explained that she had to take a break from the ITV2 programme so she could take in what was happening.

Joanna was dumped from the villa earlier this week, and was not happy when the firefighter refused to leave with her.

On Wednesday’s episode Michael branded Joanna as being “stand-offish”, which led Belle to suggest he follow his heart in case she wasn’t waiting for him back home.

Michael then decided to have one last crack at ex Amber Gill despite denying feelings for her on several occasions.

The makeup artist has recently become the object of desire for new guy Greg O'Shea.

Holding back tears, Joanna opened up saying that the moment was “hard to watch” the drama unfold after Michael did so much to reassure her that there was nothing left between him and Amber.

She said: "So obviously I've had to just pause the TV purely because for me being stand-offish is more me having respect for those in the villa because someone else is hurting in there.

"It's hard for me to watch this right now I'm not gonna lie."

Michael dumped Amber when the girls went to Casa Amor and new bombshells were dropped in - and his head was turned by Joanna.

When he returned and confronted Amber, he branded her “childish” and said he found himself “biting his tongue” around her - but it seems he has changed his mind again after opening up to Ovie Soko about how he was really feeling.

Michael said: "Now Joanna has gone it's given me time to think about things, and I realise I do like Amber.

"I feel like I need to do myself a favour and let her know."

Love Island airs all week at 9pm on ITV2.
