Love Island's Jake vows to 'get out' of villa as girls doubt his feelings for Liberty

Love Island star Jake said he needed to 'get out' of the villa after several of the girls cast doubts on his feelings for Liberty.

While Liberty and Jake have been favourites to win the new series from the get-go, over the past few days viewers have seen Liberty voice concerns to both her friends in the villa and Jake himself, about how much of his behaviour towards her is genuine and how much is "for the TV."

After the couple finished top of a public vote on the 'most one sided relationship' on Love Island this year, Jake reassured Liberty that his feelings for real, even telling her he loved her.

But, while Liberty was left excited by his bold declaration, the other girls wasted no time in telling her they weren't convinced.

Chloe told her: “You’re going to hate me. Do you not think he’s telling you what you want to hear?”

Faye added that she wasn't sure Jake was being real, with Liberty's best pal Kaz telling her: "We all hope he's genuine, that's what we want for you.

"But we're just worried he said those words to you as a way of getting away from everything else so he doesn't have to face it."

Jake pleaded his case with the boys that he did love Liberty, but when Teddy then asked Faye if she thought it was genuine she replied: "Liberty? Yes. Jake? No"

Teddy himself went into the Beach Hut and said: "It doesn't look like they're completely ironed out," and asked Jake if he thought it was "the right time" to say I love you.

Jake was left upset by what you heard from both the boys and the girls and, after walking back inside with Toby, locked himself in the toilet for a few moments, before coming out and telling Toby: "I need to get out of this place."

After he'd calmed down, Faye told Jake: "Tonight was actually the worst time to tell her you loved her," with Chloe adding: "It just looks...not good."

He told the girls: "The main thing is me and Lib are in this together. What you said is all right; I can agree with you.

"For me and for Lib, I've said it now and I mean it."
