Love Island hunk Jake Cornish looks like a different person in a range of old school snaps from his teenage years.
The 24-year-old has been impressing fans with his physique on the dating show and is currently coupled up with blonde bombshell Liberty Poole, 21.
But in the snaps from his younger years, the water engineer from Western-super-Mare is seen tattoo free and barely recognisable.
The images show Jake in Year 11, at The Blue School in Wells in Somerset.
He is seen with a trimmed and slicked back haircut in a tight grey shirt which showed off his biceps.
In another he is seen alongside members of a football team as the squad pose for a pic in their all-blue kit.
And his looks in school then even earned him the title of the next Joey Essex.
Speaking to MailOnline, a former school pal of Jake said: "'He was, even at that age, obsessed with his appearance and imitated Joey’s style even back then. He was a real pretty boy.
"It’s no surprise he ended up on Love Island because he fits right in."
And the school friend admitted he even wanted to go by the name of "Young Corn" and said he was "deadly serious" about the nickname.
He added that while Jake excelled at certain subjects such as PE, his jokey behaviour didn't always go down well with the teachers.
But the pal admitted that Young Corn "treated everyone with respect and is showing on Love Island he’s a nice guy too".
The comments come after some fans labelled the muscle man "fake Jake" after talking about Liberty behind her back.
While talking to Hugo Hammond earlier in the week, he confessed: "My head could definitely be turned. To be honest Libs is not giving me any reason not to trust her.
"It is progressing in the right way, I don't know if that's because my eyes aren't elsewhere.
"I'd be lying if I didn't say if another blonde came in and she had blonde hair, blue eyes, up for a laugh, why would I not get to know her because I'm with Lib?"
However, on Thursday's episode, Jake admitted to his partner - who he's been in a couple with since day one - that new girl Millie had made him realise he is happy in his current situation.
He had previously said that the newbie was his "type" and that he was open to getting to know her.
Describing his type when he first entered the villa, he said: "Looks-wise, I've always gone for blondes. But for me, the main thing is having respect and having good fun, and someone who will be loyal to you.'
