Love Island's Jake Cornish has been accused of "crying without tears" by viewers as he rubbed his eyes and asked for sunglasses while opening up to the boys about his split from Liberty Poole.
Liberty, 21, was in tears last night as she decided to break up with Jake, 24, as she believed that they weren't right for one another.
It comes after weeks of the couple being on rocky ground following his comments being exposed during the notorious movie night.
Jake had been exposed onscreen for saying that he didn't want to "rip off" Liberty's clothes when he saw her, casting doubt in the other Islanders' minds about how genuine he was.
Despite both appearing to be determined to overcome their hurdles, Jake's remarks last night appeared to be the last straw for Liberty as she decided to end things with him.
As Jake opened up about what had happened to the boys, he rubbed his eyes and asked for sunglasses, claiming her decision had been like a "dagger to the heart".
Yet viewers were still highly critical and claimed that they saw no tears in his eyes at all.
One tweeted: "Jake crying but no tears?? #LoveIsland."
While another commented: "JAKE I SAW NO TEARS WHY U ASKING FOR SUNGLASSES BAHAHAHAHAHAHAH #LoveIsland."
A third wrote: "jake putting sunglasses on to hide his fake tears #loveisland."

"Man tried to rub his eyes to force the tears #LoveIsland," another joked.
One commented: "Jake was really rubbing his eyes to force the tears."
However, others defended Jake, with one tweeting: "I don’t get this agenda with Jake man. People need to grow up. It’s not his fault Liberty is extremely insecure."
It comes Liberty and Jake's split was sparked by taking a selfie together, with Jake ignoring her insecurities.
After Kaz and Tyler left the villa this evening for their final epic date, Liberty and Jake sat by the pool to take a selfie.

As they looked at the photo, Liberty said: "I like them ones - do you like them ones?"
"Yeah, yeah," he replied. "I look really good, yeah."
Smiling awkwardly, Liberty responded: "Do you?"
"Yeah, can't you see me?" he replied. "My eyes are shut. It's all about you, isn't it? It's all about you, innit?! It's all about you, you you."
"I thought you looked nice," she replied, looking a little upset.

Minutes later, the couple were leaning back on the blue beanbags as Liberty said: "I'm just not feeling confident."
He replied in confusion: "What are you on about? 'Don't feel confident'?"
"I'm just saying, you look nice in them photos," Liberty responded.
"But you just said you don't look confident," he replied.
She continued: "I'm just saying... you look fit in those photos."
"It's just a picture of my eyes closed, it doesn't look good," he said as he leant back.
Later, Liberty walked off, upset, and Faye followed her towards the villa.
As Liberty sat down by the side of the villa, she was joined by Faye as she began to cry.
When Faye asks what's wrong, Liberty replied: "I've just got to be truthful to myself. I can't do this."
Shocked, Faye exclaimed: "What?!"
"If I'm going 100% energy and I'm not getting it in return then I'd rather walk out here, Faye, with my head held high and know that I've stayed true to myself the whole way through," she replied.
