Love Island's Iain Stirling teases Eamonn Holmes' surprise appearance in villa

The Love Island 2019 cast has already been announced - but they may be joined by special guest Eamonn Holmes.

Iain Stirling, the ITV2 dating show's narrator, told Eamonn to get into some swimwear and get in the villa.

The official voice of the villa said: "You’re the celebrity crush of the villa. You should get a pair of shorts on Eamonn and get in there."

This Morning host Eamonn admitted the Islanders would "die" if he made a special guest appearance on the new series, which starts on Monday.

Backing a cameo, Iain replied: "They’d be over the moon. People would be jumping in the swimming pool to calm themselves down."

Eamonn told Iain that he was not excited for the new series of Love Island because it brought him some unwanted attention last year.

He confessed: "I’m not looking forward to Love Island next week. For me it’s the busiest time of the year on my social media. Everything gets in the way.

"The point is…I would make this appeal to any of the girls entering the villa...I’m not their as a bit of totty for you. They all use my name."

Making a plea to the nation, Ian said: "Please ladies stay away from Eamonn Holmes’ DM’s."

Ruth Langsford blamed Scottish star Laura Anderson for admitting that Eamonn was her celebrity crush on last year's show.

Iain said he’s still a massive fan of the programme and revealed he’s been ‘obsessed with it’ ever since its very first series.

Voiceover Iain, who is back again for a firth series of the popular dating show, has not dug deep into the new cast.

"I want to know as much about them as the public will know.," he said.

"I don't really now their names. I want to meet them as they walk into the villa. I think  it's impossible to judge them by a photo or a gif of them dancing.

"Except Curtis as he’s a professional dancer."

*L ove Island starts on Monday on ITV2 at 9pm
